Whether you need to get to and from the airport, or simply want to explore surrounding Los Angeles, The Inn at UCLA offers a variety of transportation options for guests. Our guest services department will happily assist with public transportation plans or help arrange taxi, shuttle, private car service or car rentals. The Inn at UCLA is about 15 miles from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and minutes away from major highways, including the 405 Freeway.
The closest major airport is the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The Inn at UCLA is located approximately 15 miles north of the LAX.
Driving time from the airport varies depending on the day of the week and time you are traveling. During non-rush hour traffic times, plan on about a 45-minute drive between the campus and LAX; during rush hour traffic, plan on an hour or more.
From LAX, take the 405 Freeway north to Sunset Blvd. and follow the directions below to the UCLA Guest House.

There is limited first-come, first-serve parking available at The Inn at UCLA at the daily campus rate.
Additional guest and visitor parking is available in campus Parking Structure 3, one block north of The Inn at UCLA and at the same daily campus rate (tickets may be purchased at the front desk).

There is a campus shuttle stop one block away. The shuttle operates on weekdays and offers free transportation on and around campus. Stops include the UCLA Medical Center, the UCLA Wilshire Center and Westwood Village — the small community just south of campus with many shops, restaurants and movie theaters.

The UCLA Medical Center operates a free shuttle on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Reservations must be made in advance and the shuttle can pick you up in front of the UCLA Guest House. The evening van service provides a safe way to get around campus during evening hours. Vans operate Monday through Thursday from 6-11 p.m. during fall, winter and spring quarters. There are five designated areas where vans pick up passengers every 15-20 minutes and several designated drop-off locations throughout the campus and the surrounding residential area. You may also call 310-825-9800 to request a pick-up.
